As a digital designer with skills spanning UX/UI, motion graphics, photo retouching, and photography, I wanted a portfolio that not only displayed my work but also reflected my personality and creative approach. My goal was to create a modern, user-friendly website that showcased my diverse projects in a cohesive and engaging way, while appealing to potential employers and creative collaborators.
My challenge was to showcase my multidisciplinary skills — UX/UI, motion graphics, photography, and digital art — in a way that felt structured and easy to explore. At the same time, I wanted the website to be visually distinctive while maintaining strong usability and responsiveness across devices. Most importantly, the portfolio needed to communicate who I am as a designer, highlighting my skills, process, and creative voice in a clear and memorable way.
Research & Inspiration - I studied portfolio websites for layout and presentation ideas and noticed that the strongest ones had a clear identity and strong storytelling, guiding the user through the experience seamlessly. My challenge was to make my different skills distinctive while still bringing them together into a cohesive system.
I solved this through colour-coding. Each skill was given its own colour identity, inspired by Google’s four-colour palette (red, green, yellow, and blue). I created my own palette — colours that complemented each other as a whole but were also distinctive enough to stand on their own, Kinda like the avengers. I chose colours over shapes because I could weave them consistently throughout the website, and they felt more personal, expressive, and reflective of my style.
Design & Exploration
Using Adobe XD, I created prototype layouts and tested different navigation flows.
I then developed the website in Webflow, focusing on responsiveness, accessibility, and a clean look. To add personality, I designed custom visual elements in Illustrator and After Effects — such as the borders framing my portrait on the landing page.
A striking landing page with bold typography and colour-coded skill categories.
A clear navigation system that allows users to explore UX/UI work, motion graphics, photography, or digital art with ease.
Interactive project pages that include descriptive context, process breakdowns, and visuals balancing professionalism with creativity.
A design that feels contemporary, minimal, and user-focused while still showcasing my versatility.
The website successfully communicates my multidisciplinary skill set without feeling cluttered. The colour-coded landing page has become a defining feature, visually representing the breadth of my skills while staying memorable and cohesive. I now have a strong, professional platform that I can continue to refine and expand as I grow as a designer.
A portfolio is never truly finished. Much like people, design is always evolving, and there will always be room for refinement. I see my website as a living project — one that will grow alongside my skills and experiences, adapting as I continue to develop as a designer.
